Musica per la radio

A series of concerts conceived for the radio and transmitted exclusively on the radio
The first thing that really stuck with me was the realization that people weren’t necessarily listening to entire songs or shows; they would tune in whenever they wanted. This is why I decided to create Epizode—because it didn’t matter to me whether there was a classical structure or dramaturgy from start to finish. I couldn’t control when people would listen, so instead, I focused on creating moments—short, impactful segments that people could connect to on their own terms.
I began to envision who might be listening and in what contexts. That’s when I thought about creating more functional moments—ones that could fit into people’s daily routines. I imagined scenarios like someone working, and I thought about what sounds would match their movements or fit seamlessly into their lives. I explored different ideas, wondering how these moments could play out.
There’s something special about the liveliness of radio. When you listen to it, it feels more present, more alive. Unlike other mediums, where you might feel a sense of distance, radio keeps that connection going. I don’t know what the future holds, but there’s something enduring about it. I also find it fascinating that radio waves are constantly circulating around us, invisible until we choose to connect with them. It feels almost apocalyptic in a way—radio will survive. I truly believe that.
